| Rebecca McEvoy was raped and sodomized by her Step father, Police Officer Bob Ingel. Rebecca lost her life in a fatal car accident on the way to testify for the 3rd time as to the rape, and sexual assault she suffered at his hands.
On Tuesday, April 22, 2008, in Mobile, Alabama, the defense attorneys for the accused, Bob Ingel were to argue the case against their client should be dismissed. The lawyers are using the "Crawford" case out of Ohio. This says “you have the constitutional right to cross examine your accuser” and because the girl is dead and cannot testify, there is a chance the Judge may throw out the case.
The case was dismissed on the April 22, which was the 4th dismissal.
The new hearing is rescheduled for May 20th.
Please see her main page and help to make sure this man goes to trial. There is a letter you can mail that could help bring this to national attention.

It is rumored Bob Ingle sat in the gas station across from the cemetery when they buried Becca. It was the coldest day we have had this winter in Mobile. He's just as cold hearted! Also rumored he has moved back home, from Mississippi, to mommy's house. Maybe all the coverage this case is getting is bothering him!

God's blessings to you and yours as you go through this trying time. It must be so hard to be patient. Court systems don't seem to really care how long things take and the effect it has on the families and friends! |

We'll have the "Cries For Help" section up ASAP.... Hang in there it may take a couple of days.
My hubby was in a car accident this morning. He's fine, but he totaled his new car and the air bag deployed. He'll be sore tomorrow, I'm sure. He'll get things up as soon as we get our first stories, and set up the area and menu button.
It's going to be a busy few days around here!
I'll run an ad on the front page for awhile, and send the news about the new addition to the members, at that time :)
I'm just so thankful my sweetie is still with me and safe in my arms. We are so lucky! |

 I am one of the many of Becca's cousins. She was a precious,fun loving child and no child deserves for anything such as this to happen to them. Becca was strong and very brave to go through the process she was for the courts. She done all they ask of her and now, it's their turn to do all she ask of them. They should look into not putting the children through so much all in the name of justice. If they have a medical report to back-up their statements then the courts should prosecute accordingly. Becca deserved justice, as do his other victim's that are too afraid to talk. My Bible says,"Everything done in darkness will be brought to the light. " and I know God is trying to shed a light on cases such as our Becca Boo's. |

Cloey thank you all so much for all of your much needed help!!!I know Becca is up there smiling down upon us!!!
God knew that the horro she was put thru was to much for her to have to go thru & live with all those memories so in his infinte wisdom he took her to a place where she'd never have to relive this horrible account of what she suffered!!She's now able to run,play & skip through her new world to never have to be fearful again!!She can finally be a child again!!Far from this world that caused her such grief!!
With that being said she has passed the torch & now it's our turn to pick it up & fight for the cause that 1 brave lil girl was intent on bringing justice to!!Please help our family get JUSTICE FOR BECCA by emailing all natl media her story so no other child is ever again harmed by Bob Ingle!!Thank you all so much for all your help!! |

Defense wants gag order In child rape case to silence the family of an eleven year old girl, who they say was raped by Bob Ingle
Local Mobile Defense Attorney Michael representing accused rapist and pedophile
Bob Ingle came into court yesterday requesting a gag order be put on Becca McEvoy's
case. Harbin asks to include all who are speaking to the media, i.e., Becca's

Mobile County Circuit Judge Michael Youngpeter said, "That's like having a bell
already rung & then saying lets go back & un-ring bell. You can't un-ring the
bell. The media has already done the stories and now we cant undo that!" (A
gag law is intended to limit freedom of the press, as by instituting censorship
or restricting access to information. In the United States, a court can only order
parties to a case not to comment on it; a court has no authority to stop unrelated
reporters from reporting on a case. Most statutes which restrict what may be reported
have generally been found unconstitutional and void.)
Defense
Attorney Michael Harbin submitted papers of the stories covered by WKRG and a
packet that he said was the petition circulated by the family, which requests
justice for Becca. Defense Attorney Michael Harbin asked the Judge Youngpeter
to look at the materials and after reviewing he should be able to see why his
client needs a gag order.
Defense attorney Harbin complained his client, accused
rapist and pedophile Bob Ingle is being tried in the media and can't get a fair trial.
He also requested a change of venue. Defense Attorney Michael Harbin also questioned
the professional credentials of the doctor who did the rape examination of Becca.

Michael Harbin is asking for the rape examination doctor's curriculum vitae CV (a document that contains a summary or listing of relevant
job experience and education.)
Defense Attorney Michael Harbin
stated Becca's father Aden McEvoy had stated in an interview, "I don't know how
he sleeps at night?" calling Harbin by name, as the Attorney who is representing
accused Rapist Bob Ingle. Defense Attorney Michael Harbin stated his client is
innocent until proven guilty (Contrary to common belief,
the presumption of innocence applies only inside a courtroom. It has no applicability
elsewhere, although the media do not seem to be aware of this. Even the editorial
sections of major American newspapers frequently express the view, in references
to a pending case, that "we" -- meaning the editors and their readers -- have
to presume that so-and-so is innocent. To illustrate that the presumption does
not apply outside the courtroom, let's say an employer has evidence that an employee
has committed theft. If the employer had to presume the person were innocent,
he obviously couldn't fire the employee or do anything at all. But of course he
not only can fire or demote the employee, he can report him to the authorities...)
Defense Attorney Michael Harbin complained his client, Bob Ingle, is being called
a "rapist" (this is one of the crimes Ingle was arrested for in Dec 2006 and indicted
for in Jan 2007) the others are sodomy (anal or oral
copulation with a member of the same or opposite sex) and sexual
abuse of a child under the age of 11. He has been removed as a police officer
pending his criminal investigation and trial.
Assistant District Attorney, Steven
Giardini said he opposed the request for a gag order stating the little coverage
produced two additional alleged rape victims of Bob Ingle have come forward and
spoken to the investigators.
Defense Attorney Michael Harbin said his client the
accused rapist and pedophile, Bob Ingle, can't get fair trial due to the publicity.
Mobile County Assistant District Attorney, Steven Giardini, who specializes in
prosecuting sex crimes against minors, said he has tried cases that were on the
front of NY Times and we still got a fair jury. He doesn't believe it should be
a problem.
Defense Attorney Michael Harbin asked the gag order to include how
much the term sexual abuse, and rapist can be used in the media. This is the crime
Bob Ingle is charged with including rape, sodomy and sexual abuse of a child
under the age of 11. Assistant District Attorney, Steven Giardini said of course
I would oppose that and stated that in his entire career he has never been under
such scrutiny in any other case.
Mobile County Circuit Judge Michael Youngpeter
will decide on gag order sometime before May 20th, 2008 The court date for pretrial
decision on the Washington vs. Crawford Law is set for May 20th, 2008 Change of
venue court date was set for June 10th, 2008 Trial court date is SEPT 22, 2008.
So much for a speedy trial, this case began Dec 13, 2006 almost two years have
passed.

its rhonda beccas cousin!!we have court again on may 20th to find out more!
on june 10th we go to court to see if change of venue will be garnted 2 defense cause theyre whining they cant get a fair trial!!
you know something Becca didnt get a fair shake either!!!
In my opinion she was FORCED TO ENDURE PAIN & SHAME FROM THIS ALLEGED ACT THAT WAS DONE TO HER BY BOB INGLE!!!!

on saturday may 17th we held a vigil in memory of becca mcevoy!!we must keep the fight 4 justice 4 becca in the forefront so that her voice will not be silenced.We her framily must now speak on becca's behalf!!we miss her dearly & can only hope that through her death other lives are somehow saved from having to endure the horror that she so desperatly endured !!her bravery & last wishes were to keep this from ever happening to another little child!We must fight to ensure that her wishes be carried out!!

Court is set for tuesday may 20th at 2pm.We will also be having a rally to show our support for Rebecca in which Judy Cornett a national advocate will be hosting at a park (Spanish Plaza)2 blocks from where the courthouse is at on government street in mobile,alabama.we have people coming from mass.,north carolina,tenn.,georgia & alabama.bacanation will also be there to show their support for becca.

postponed 4 5th time 2day!!defense request more time 2 discuss med exam findings with doc!!what happened to our family & rebecca's right 2 a speedy trial???back on april 2nd we rescheduled 2 times already 2day makes 3 for the defense to get med exam squared away!!what a month & 1/2 isnt long enough???in my opinion its just more stall tactics!!

Justice Delayed is Justice Denied! Court Postponed for 5th Time to June 10, 2008
"I just want to know where the victim's rights are for a speedy trial. This is the fifth time that this has been reset." said McEvoy.
Rebecca's Father Aden McEvoy is worried statements his daughter made before her death won't be allowed as evidence in the trial, because of a law that guarantees the defendant’s right to cross examine a witness.
Defense requested postponement so they could sit down with medical exam doctor & discuss his findings. Request was originally made on april 2nd then rescheduled 2 more times, to give them the time they need to get med exam squared away. A month and a half isnt long enough?

| Court is scheduled for Mon. Sept.22nd @ 9am.It will be held @ the Government Plaza in downtown Mobile,Al. on the 8th floor!Please pray that justice will come forth & the truth will be revealed.that our lil Becca Boo's last wishes will be granted.Thank you so vewry much for all your prayers & support. |
